Custom columns are user-added columns outside the timeline that allow users to create custom summaries of each row’s timeline data such as totals, growth rates, or averages.

Like rows, custom columns calculate values using tools. Each custom column accepts a single tool, which is shown next to the column name and unit in the column header.

Create a custom column
Section titled “Create a custom column”Add a custom column to a sheet by clicking the “+ Add column” button located at the right edge of the grid.
Name the column, specify a unit, and apply a tool to the header of the column. Custom columns accept formula and statistics tools only.
Note: If the “#” unit type is selected, the custom columns will use the unit specified in each row.

Configure the tool as normal in the details tab of the control panel.
Note: Arithmetic tools in custom columns can reference their own row by typing or selecting the “Own row” option in the formula entry.

Delete a custom column
Section titled “Delete a custom column”Remove a custom column from a sheet by right-clicking on the column header and selecting the “Delete column” option.
